What people
are saying ...
Every claim made for Blue Chip is absolutely true. Lovely foliage,
beautiful continuous blooms, and it thrives in the heat and humidity of
an Oklahoma summer. Amazingly, Blue Chip is still covered with blooms at
the end of October! - Ann, Oklahoma.
This little shrub bloomed from June to frost the first year in the
ground. There were always butterflies on several branches. It stays
compact and bloomed profusely. I had it toward the front of the border
and it did not overwhelm the other bedding plants. It was planted with
Supertunia Vista Silverberry and the two gave each other nice
complements. The blueish purple pink throat of Silverberry's white
flower danced with the blueish purple of the Lo and Behold. Anna

The compact
size of these new cultivars is perfect for smaller
gardens and the mixed border. They can also be used as
a container plant in milder climates. Unlike older
varieties, these cultivars will not overwhelm the
landscape, and never develop the weedy, unkempt habit so
typical of butterfly bush. Now even gardeners with
limited space can attract butterflies and hummingbirds
to their garden with colorful buddleia.
Awards:
A top two favorite out of 107 varieties in the
Royal Horticulture Society Buddleia Trials. Awarded
the Blue Ribbon at the Mid-Am Nursery show as the best
new plant of 2009!
