Very nice, large single, soft blushing pink flowers with a prominent red eye.

Strong growing and long blooming. Hybridized by Rien Verweij of the Netherlands. 

It received the Royal Boskoop Horticulture Society Award of Recommendation

Introduced for the first time in the U.S. in the spring of 2000, it is a rare plant at retail, but well worth asking for in the years to come.

Hardiness:  USDA Zone 5

Bloom Time:  Mid-summer

Bloom Color: Large, single, soft pink with a red eye.

Foliage Color:  Green

Size:  8-12 feet tall, 3-5 feet wide

Exposure:  Full sun

Soil: Grows in about any soil unless it is either really wet or dry.

Pruning: In late fall or early spring. Can be heavily pruned.

Watering: Medium moisture

Wildlife: None

Type: Deciduous

Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. 

Uses: Late season color, groupings or masses, perennial or shrub borders, specimen, screens or hedges.

A tremendous improvement in hardy Hibiscus.  Strong growing plants with lots of large, brightly colored blooms, the SATIN® hibiscus are clearly superior to older, weaker varieties. Much more vigorous than older varieties.

BLUSH SATIN® is a very showy variety with large, soft pink flowers accented with a deep red eye.
