Not just another Euonymus! 

A sport of 'Emerald n' Gold' with big round leaves displaying a thick deep golden-yellow edge. Very showy and consistent leaf coloration.

Excellent impulse appeal. Yellow fruit and orange seed are very showy and persistent. Excellent hardiness and disease resistance too. A wonderful introduction by Roemer Nursery, Lake County, Ohio.

Hardiness:  USDA Zone 5

Bloom:  Not noticeable

Fruit:  Yellow fruit and orange seeds are very showy and persistent

Foliage Color:  Large, variegated leaves. Rich green with a thick deep golden-yellow edge.

Size:  18-24 inches tall and wide. Attractive mounding habit.

Exposure:  Full sun to shade.  Full sun for most dramatic variegation.

Soil: Tolerant of most soils except extremely wet conditions. pH adaptable.

Pruning: Withstands heavy pruning. Can be done whenever, but best done in late fall.

Watering: Medium moisture

Wildlife: None

Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer specialized for trees & shrubs. Follow the label for recommended rate of application. 

Uses: groundcover, vine, wall cover, low hedge, mass planting.

A real improvement in Euonymus!  The big, round leaves of this selection have bright, bold variegation.  It has far more impact in the landscape than other, older varieties.  The variegation is very stable, and the plant has excellent disease resistance.

Use GOLD SPLASH for easy four season color in the landscape.  The cheerful variegated foliage maintains its color all year long, and is accented by showy, persistent fruit in the fall.

GOLD SPLASH has excellent hardiness, and is a reliable, adaptable choice for most landscapes.
