 Snow Storm     Snow Storm Spiraea

A very unique and showy new European Spiraea  noted for its blue foliage, massive dome shaped blooms and superb autumn colors.

The blooms appear from early summer to mid-summer. The pure white blooms lighten up a garden and contrast wonderfully the large blue-green leaves. The plant is quite sturdy and it holds its blooms up in a neat fashion.

  Spiraea media 'Darsnorm'

Use Snow Storm spirea as a specimen or in large masses to create a wonderful effect. Use it in the back of the perennial garden or in the shrub border. This easy to grow plant is reliable flowering and the flower color is consistent regardless of soil  or winter temperatures.

The flower heads are of good size, ranging from  6 to 8 inches. The blooms are well distributed making a very nice plant and display. You're going to love this remarkable new introduction Darthuizer Nursery in the Netherlands!

What people are saying ...

I hate Spireas but this one is really beautiful. I saw it first without flowers and thought the foliage was sublime. The foliage is a lovely soft blue/green, and decently sized leaves (not those puny little spirea leaves) with purple stems. The flowers are very nice, not those hairballs like other spireas. I prune it hard after flowering and it still looks fabulous. I grow it with Thalictrum rochebrunianum which has 8 foot tall pencil thin purple stems.
